Selecta was built for that. Not a listing platform. Not another agent. A private, relationship-driven service run by professional riders who understand the sport from the inside.

We are riders first, and we offer other riders the service we would want ourselves: honest, personal, and built around finding a genuine match.

What is Selecta Dressage

Selecta Dressage Horses is a private dressage horse sales service, founded and operated by three professional riders. We maintain an exclusive database of high quality dressage horses — many of which are never publicly listed — and we match them personally to the right rider.

We work with ambitious amateurs, young competitors, professional riders, trainers and investors. Our clients come from Europe, the USA, the Middle East, Asia and Russia. What they have in common is a commitment to quality and a desire for a service that is honest, expert and genuinely personal.

We are not horse brokers. We are riders. We have ridden and developed hundreds of horses, across different bloodlines, temperaments and levels. That is why we know what we are looking at — and what a horse can become.

Most of our horses are never listed publicly. You see a selection we present personally — not a catalogue anyone can browse.

Every horse is assessed by professional riders — not agents. Movement, training, character, health and competition results, judged by people who have spent their careers with horses.

We get to know you before we search. Your level, your goals, your character as a rider — these come first.

From first conversation to international transport — we manage every step. And we don’t disappear after the sale.

Our fee is 10%, communicated upfront. No hidden commissions. No inflated prices. Ever.

How we evaluate
every horse

Quality of movement

We evaluate walk, trot and canter — elasticity, balance, rhythm and power. A horse with exceptional movement has a natural advantage at every level of competition.

Quality of training

We assess the quality of training — correctness, throughness, acceptance of the aids. A well-trained horse is a safer investment and a better partner.

Character & rideability

A horse’s character determines how quickly a new rider partnership forms. We look for willingness, mental stability and genuine rideability — not just performance.

Health & soundness

We take health seriously. We acquire as much information as possible before presenting horses to you. When a horse moves forward in a process, we can help you organise a thorough pre-purchase veterinary examination and make sure you have everything you need to decide.

The right match

Beyond the horse itself — we evaluate whether this horse is right for this rider. The match is the product.

We only present horses we would be happy to see a client riding.

Iñigo has spent years in the international horse trade, building a network of breeders, stables and professionals across Europe that most buyers never reach. He knows where the good horses are before they are for sale, and he is the one who speaks with clients from the first conversation to the final contract.

Professional dressage rider and co-founder of Selecta. Moisés is an active international Grand Prix competitor with many years of experience competing at the highest level. Having ridden many horses across a wide range of breeding lines, he has developed a uniquely sharp eye for assessing a horse’s quality of movement, level of training and potential — identifying not just what a dressage horse can do today, but what it can become.
